Arthur B. Dana and Brad Whitfield, members of Deemer Dana & Froehle’s Business Valuation Team, presented “The Buy/Sell Agreement – More Important Than Ever” at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Georgia Conference on June 21, 2011.
The presentation addressed the following topics:
• The complexities of creating and maintaining a buy/sell agreement
• The importance of establishing polices within the agreement and within the firm
• Under what circumstances will the buy/sell agreement come into play
• Business Valuation and tax consequences involved in the agreement
Also at the conference, Arthur B. Dana & the firm’s colleague, Michael D’Onofrio, presented, “Epact Energy Tax Benefits for Architects & Engineers.” This presentation gave an overview of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the 179D federal tax benefits available for the design of energy-efficient buildings.
